We are announcing the program for the 32nd International Performing Arts Festival A Part!
This year’s A Part Festival will take place in Katowice from June 12th to 21st, 2026.
Festival events will take place in numerous venues across Katowice, both indoors and outdoors (Katowice City of Gardens, Rialto Cinema and Theatre, Korez Theatre, Youth Palace, Silesian Theatre, Witosa Cultural Center, and Zadole Park), as well as at the Tiferet Manor in Żarki and the Saturn Museum in Czeladź (where festival buses will transport audiences from Katowice).
This year, the A Part Festival has a unique, rich, and diverse program. This year’s special guests of the festival will be:
– ORIOL PLA (SPAIN) – a brilliant Spanish theater and circus artist, winner of the 2025 International Emmy Awards for Best Actor, who will present his masterpiece performance “Gola” (“Gluttony”);
– MARINA OTERO (ARGENTINA) – a star of international dance and theater with her latest performance “Ayoub”;
– TEATRO NUCLEO (ITALY) – a famous Italian open-air and alternative theater with a revival of the legendary spectacle “Quijote!”.
The festival will also feature outstanding theater companies from abroad: T.I.T.S (Norway), WARIOT IDEAL (Czech Republic), TEATRO DEL LEMMING (Italy), HOLEKTIV (Czech Republic) – all foreign performances will have their Polish premieres in Katowice.
As well as outstanding artists and bands from Poland: STICKY FINGERS CLUB, HERTZ HAUS, AURORA LUBOS, STUDIO WACHOWICZ/FRET, ARTI GRABOWSKI, MARLENA NIESTRÓJ, SYLWIA HANFF/LIMEN BUTOH, and TEATR A PART.
The event will also feature the Polish premiere of the film “TRIXIE” directed by Bastien Genoux, whose protagonist is Beatrice Cordua, the recently deceased great German dancer, who spent the last years of her life performing in performances by the Austrian choreographer, revolutionary of the European stage, Florentina Holzinger. The festival is co-organized by Katowice City of Gardens. The Krystyna Bochenek Cultural Institution. Co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage from the Cultural Promotion Fund. Partners: Wojciech Korfanty Regional Institute of Culture in Katowice and the Saturn Museum in Czeladź. The festival is held under the honorary patronage of the Mayor of Katowice, Marcin Krupa.
