We invite lovers and budding practitioners of theatre, dance theatre and performing arts, wishing to develop through body and imagination work and stage practice, to participate in Teatr A Part’s year-long Acting Studio, led by Teatr A Part actress Monika Wachowicz and – as a guest – a group of prominent artists and educators, invited to co-lead classes.
Theatre of Movement, Body, Emotion and Imagination

Classes will include: using individual predispositions in stage performance and their development, creativity and imagination in life and theatre, exercises using Jerzy Grotowski’s method, basics of mime, techniques of improvisation and collective creation, dance theatre, proxemics and movement in space, butoh, performance art, working with mask, working with sound and voice, working methods in outdoor theatre and site-specific projects, actor in visual theatre, yoga in theatre, act/nudity in art and stage practice.
The classes will be held two weekends a month in Katowice (Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm) starting in early October 2022. The workshop will culminate with a presentation of the post-workshop performance, prepared under the direction of Marcin Herich, founder and director of Teatr A Part, during the 29th International Performing Arts Festival A Part in June 2023.
The workshop is aimed at adults.
