The 30th anniversary International Festival of Performing Arts A Part will take place on June 7-16, 2024 in Katowice
The festival will open with two events: the photography exhibition ‘Trying on Shadows. 20 years of Teatr A Part‘ and a concert of The Tiger LIllies (England).
This year’s festival will also feature: Divadlo Contunuo (Czech Republic), R405 (Czech Republic), Vendula Tomšů/Johana Pocková (Czech Republic), BORSHCH (Czech Republic), Teatro del Lemming (Italy), Via Negativa (Slovenia), Eleni Ploumi (Greece, Netherlands), Grupa Wolność, Studio Wachowicz/Fret, Aleksandra Kubiak and Teatr A Part.
The festival will be accompanied by a two-day popular science conference and a panel ‘30 years of the festival, 20 years of Teatr A Part’, organized as part of the European City of Science Katowice 2024.
The festival will also include a screening of the film ‘Radical Move‘ and two performances by the Teatr Rawa (as an accompanying event).
The organizer of the festival is Teatr A Part in Katowice. The main partners of the event are the City of Katowice, Cultural Institution Katowice City of Gardens and Wojciech Korfanty Regional Institute of Culture.
The festival was co-financed by the Ministry of Culture of National Heritage from the Culture Promotion Fund.
The event is under the honorary patronage of the Mayor of Katowice, Marcin Krupa. The festival is under the honorary patronage of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
