We cordially invite you to the 27th International Performing Arts Festival A Part, which will be held on June 11-20 in Katowice.
This year’s festival will feature: Holectiv (Czech Republic), Bradipoteatar (San Marino), Arti Grabowski/Zbigniew Szumski, Teatr Terminus A Quo, Monika Wachowicz and Teatr A Part, which will show three performances (“The Rite of Spring”, “Klepsydra” and “Künstlerspiele Scenes from the Great War ”).
Three film screenings will take place as part of the festival. During the evening devoted to Józef Szajna, recordings of two performances will be presented: “Replica” and “Traces”. We will also show the Polish pre-premiere documentary “Body of Truth”, devoted to the work of four outstanding artists: Marina Abramović, Sigalit Landau, Katharina Sieverding and Shirin Neshat.
During the festival, the international Connecting V4 Art-In-Res symposium will be held, devoted to the system of artistic residencies in the Czech Republic and Poland.
The event will open with a concert by the band Piksele.
The festival was created with the financial support of the Institution of Culture. K. Bochenek Katowice City of Gardens.
The project is co-financed by the Governments of Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia through Visegrad Grants from International Visegrad Fund. The mission of the fund is to advance ideas for sustainable regional cooperation in Central Europe.
